The Gospel of Matthew - Jesus Cleanses a Leper | Matthew Chapter 8 : 1 - 4

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus descends from the mountainside after delivering the Sermon on the Mount and is approached by a man with leprosy. The man kneels before Jesus, acknowledging his belief in Jesus' ability to heal him and pleading for his cleansing. Jesus, moved with compassion, reaches out and touches the man, declaring his willingness to heal him. Immediately, the man's leprosy is cured. Jesus instructs the man not to tell anyone but to go and show himself to the priest, following the ceremonial law. This passage highlights Jesus' compassion and authority to heal, as well as his desire for obedience to the Mosaic law.
