Lamb of God alleluia, alleluia.
On that night you took the bread and blessed
and broke your life upon the earth to save us
and to raise us to your Father’s throne.
Then you took the cup at table, blessed
and share with your disciples your new promise
in your blood that you would set us free.
On the hill, you took the cup your Father gave
you and poured your life blood down the years
into our hearts that none of us be lost.
In days of old, the Hebrew priest would hold our
lamb! to you on high; now you have given your
own presence as our offering.
And so our Father we offer you this living bread,
our lamb for you, this saving cup for our salvation
sure to set us free.
