We come today to break this bread and
share this cup of wine. We gather at your table
now to hear your words of life.
And though there are so many here today,
we all are one: one family, one body,
and one Church; we are your own.
We thank you, God, for Jesus, who calls us to this feast
to share in one communion in your name.
We thank you for our parents who care for us each day,
the family gathered ‘round us here in love.
We thank you for creation, the beauty of the earth;
with grateful hearts, we thank you for your gifts.
