The Gospel of Matthew - Jesus Calls the First Disciples | Matthew Chapter 4 : 18 - 22

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus walks by the Sea of Galilee and sees two brothers, Simon (called Peter) and Andrew, casting their nets into the sea. He calls out to them, saying, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." Immediately, they leave their nets and follow him. Further along the shore, Jesus encounters two more brothers, James and John, who were with their father Zebedee mending their nets. Jesus calls them, and they also immediately leave their boat and their father to follow him. This passage illustrates the powerful and transformative nature of Jesus' call, as these fishermen leave their livelihoods and families to become his disciples.
